Feelin' Good

As the words to the song go, "it's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me...and I'm feelin' good" I highly recommend Muse's version. It's not really a new life, but it's a new year and I am feeling good about it! We have some big plans for 2012...Kenz and I will be getting sealed in the next couple of months; our parents are coming to visit us in Alaska; I am graduating; we'll be getting a new president(!); and we will hopefully be expecting by the end of the year. Yup, 2012 sounds pretty good to me :)

We have a couple new additions to our household to kick off the new year: a beautiful beta fish named François (Frances in English; Kenz calls him Frank and I just speak to him in French) and an adorable, sweet dog named Gracie. She's a 3 year old Phalène and is a perfect angel. We got her from a girl Kenz worked with who moved and couldn't bring her. She is the perfect dog for my first dog! Here are some fun pics of Gracie and François (François kind of gets overshadowed by the animal who talks to us and does what we say and is cuddly)

There are a lot of pictures on this post, but who doesn't love pics right? I decided tonight that with Christmas over and having more free time to craft, I have decided to make my 2nd wedding dress for the pictures at the temple after our sealing! I know it's kind of a big, scary task, but I've planned it out and I'm confident that I'll be able to get it done and looking gorgeous. Here is my sketch (forgive my non-drawing skills)

You can see the inspirations for my design here  on my pinterest.

I am happy and healthy and ready for the new year! As far as resolutions go, I think the things I'm looking forward to include some of them. I'll blog more about that next time. One resolution I have made, though, is to blog AT LEAST once a week, hopefully more. I need to get more into this journaling thing ;)

I'm so excited for you guys to get seals - the dress looks awesome, and kudo's for making it. My sewing abilities are highly lacking. :)
