My parents offered to get us a hotel in Seattle Friday night so that we can stay there and hang out. The top 3 things on my list are to go to the temple, get some groceries at Trader Joe's, and see our friends Keilani and Jon. I can't wait! Then Saturday night I'll get to watch Kenz practice with his band, then Sunday I'll finally start teaching my new primary class of 8 and 9 year olds! Then life will get busy, but I really love structure and routine after a long break from it.
So there's a movie coming out February 1st called Warm Bodies. I happened upon the trailer while reviewing the next couple of months on Flixster. At first I thought it looked like Twilight but with zombies, but my good friend Sarah told me that it's based on a book and that it's NOTHING like Twilight, and that the book is really great and I should read it. Well, I started a couple days ago and I'm almost finished! Which is amazing because it's hard for me to find a book that captures my attention. The only books I've read for pleasure in the past 10-15 years have been Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Twilight, and Jane Austen. I'm LOVING Warm Bodies. I highly recommend it, although it would definitely get an R rating for the language so if you don't want to read that then just see the movie (PG-13 for zombie violence and some language).
I went through quite an ordeal to buy the book
with the ORIGINAL cover, NOT the movie cover.
It's 1:30pm and I'm just getting out of the shower (maybe I woke up at 6:20 to get the boys off to school, cleaned the house, read for an hour, went back to sleep for 2 hours, then read for another 2 hours...), but today I'm going to spend some time with me- going to the Mall of America to see if there are any post-holiday sale remnants for super cheap and maybe hit up the Victoria's Secret Semi-Annual for some "missed you Kenz" goodies (TMI?) I love shopping with friends, but I also love shopping by myself. I can spend as much time as I want, and only go to the stores I want. And then I won't go to the mall again probably until my birthday in March.
Life is good, but it's about to get a lot better when I go home to my Kenz in 3 days!
"'missed you Kenz' goodies." Haha! Good, goooooood line.
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking that I needed a new good read! I'll be getting this today!. Have fun in my neck of the woods!
